Anyone that knows me knows that I have been going on and on about Nora en Pure for some time now. Her music is simply great deep house mixed with an ear for the ethereal and natural world. She can take light breezy beats and take them to dark places and make them fit perfectly in a dank dark club. She simply knows how to craft intense emotionally charged music that is great to dance to or simply have on to enjoy. This EP is much shorter than anything I've reviewed in the past, only three tracks, but if there is any excuse to get here name out there I will take it. "Lake Arrowhead" both the song and the title really brings a sense of nature to Nora's catalog. Throughout the record their are animal sounds, water drops and much more but always grounded in a deep house sensibility. What Nora really is best at is sliding in between genres with seemingly effortless ease. One moment you are dancing you heart away to some of the deepest house, and then she will flip it on you and bring it back to a remix of Tears For Fears. The wealth of music that she has on Soundcloud could get you lost in a haze for hours and hours just vibing along.

This EP is her most focused, even if it is outside of her comfort zone. She is willing to take a few more steps into the experimental with this record which gives it a much more natural sounding feel.  The title track "Lake Arrowhead" and "Zambia" both incorporate the ambient nature vibes while "Sleeping In My Bed" is an all out House track. With her relentless touring schedule and seemingly unending list of remixes, tracks and EPs it is a surprise that Nora has time to do anything at all, but her Purified "podcast" still comes out every week with new tracks of her own as well as other DJs in the house scene. There honestly is not really enough on this record to dig deep into but go listen to her whole catalog and find some of the best House music aronud.
