I'm pretty late to the game on this one with Bebe Rexha making moves earlier this year with this debut EP All Your Fault: Pt. 1. The six tracks are populated with lush electronics and an almost trip hop lite delivery style. Rexha certainly has the look of someone who is ready for pop stardom but the music feels like it is just slightly behind the times. When you listen to other pop singers who Rexha is similar to like Verite and Tei Shi, their style is so much more authentic while Rexha always feels like she is chasing some other sound. There is nothing about this album that gives you an insight into her as an artist, more just a collection of songs someone out there is hoping will be pop hits. For the most part the electronics sound like they are from the last days of EDM with just a light sprinkle of some trap sounds to give it a more modern feel. I hate to make this accusation, but Bebe Rexha feels more like a major label ploy than a true musician. She wears the risky clothes (Rihanna), has a big ol behind (Niki Minaj/Kim Kardashian) and a serviceable voice through auto tune but something this calculated is so hard to enjoy whatsoever. "F.F.F." (Fuck Fake Friends) is musical territory that has been gone over a thousand times before and I highly doubt Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy are going to have something new and exciting to say on the subject. The song ends up being just a collection of platitudes over and over again, real fucking creative.

"Gateway Drug" is another song seemingly written by a 12 year old...in '93. Guess what Rexha calls her lovers kiss? You guessed it a gateway drug, how do they come up with this stuff. You would hope with lyrics this weak at least the beats would bang, but nope. There is the slightest indication of a trap skitter on "Gateway Drug" but it sounds like someone who has only dipped their toes into trap sounds and really don't get it. The same can be said for "Bad Bitch" which has one of the worst verses I have ever heard from Ty Dolla $ign, it literally doesn't even fucking sound him. It's just another ploy to make people think Bebe Rexha has any kind of cred in the hip hop community. I heard a lot of things about Bebe Rexha being the next big thing and to get ready but after listening to this I have to whole heartedly disagree.
