VÉRITÉ - Sentiment EP

VÉRITÉ
Sentiment EP
2015

VÉRITÉ has released her sophomore EP Sentiment leaving fans pinning for that eventual full album release, but for now this stellar EP will have to tide us over. VÉRITÉ uses her incredible and distinct voice to create music that is miles away from anyone else in her category. The music is rich and strong will still managing to be interesting and soulful. There is no sense of pandering on this record despite it still being accessible even on a cursory listen. "Colors" and "Wasteland" are the two singles from the album and are the more upbeat of the four tracks on the record, but when VÉRITÉ slows it down on "Rearrange" it never slips into a ballad or becomes a cliché love song. Instead the synths drive the song forward and allow VÉRITÉ to experiment with her vocals on runs and through harmonizing with herself.

The title track on the album is an open heart anthem, which leaves VÉRITÉ spilling her guts all over the place. It is a beautiful wrap up to an equally beautiful group of four tracks. She is positioning herself to be one of the breakout stars in the next couple years and doing so making music that is truly interesting and cutting edge. This is one artist you definitely don't want to sleep on, if you do you are going to miss out on something truly special.
