Miami Horror - All Possible Futures

The name Miami Horror conjures up the thought of Avenged Sevenfold and some dark eyeliner and even darker spirits. They should be a band with aggressive guitars and even more aggressive piercings. They are neither of those things. Miami Horror is dream pop at it's finest. The music is light and breezy with just enough house elements to get your body moving. There is also a Lo-Fi quality keeping the music right in the Indie vein especially on tracks like "Colours In The Sky". For the most past Nu-Disco is a high minded ideal and a genre that spans quite a bit of music, but when it is done right it has the ability to really connect and it certainly does so on this record. It seems as though this record was intentionally made not only to be totally dancey, but also to create some kind of experience where that dance was done in the perfect setting. A place where everything is neon and bright and the track never stops.

All Possible Futures poses the question what if we just stopped giving a fuck. What if pretension and ego were thrown out the door what would music look like? The answer for Miami Horror is dance and it is All Possible Futures. The conclusion may not be the same for every individual but listening to this record you can't help but think that maybe they are right. This record is not as breathtaking as fellow Australian Tame Impala's nor is at as vast but it makes it's place in a different more populous way. If you asked a majority of people they would probably prefer All Possible Futures because they have a keen grasp of how to make pop music that gets the job done. This is a record you can put on in the background of a party and have person after person asking you who this is and wanting to know more. Nu-Disco might be a turn off for some, but for those that get it All Possible Futures has the potential to be all time.
