Spells is a great little EP from Cannons a Los Angeles based electronic group whose music bends genres until they positively break. The singer for the group, Michelle Joy, has a voice that is absolutely intoxicating and when paired with super smooth guitars and looping beats this record really makes something special. From the first moment you are drawn in to the world they are creating where the vibe is magical, ethereal and hip swayingly delightful. My only complaint is that at three tracks all I wanted is more. Luckily they have another EP called Up All Night for you to get in to as well.

Do not sleep on Cannons, they are going to be something really special very very soon if this EP is any indication.
