G Unit has released their second EP in less than a year since their reconciliation, which promises more music is going to be on the way very soon from the group. With Wu-Tang and G Unit coming out with albums and EPs it seems that the rap group may be making a resurgence in the near future (maybe something insane from D12 soon?). What I really like about this record is the focus on the rapping. The beats are decent but never take front stage, clearly G Unit wanted to bring something different to the table with this one than just another club banger. It also never feels dated, like a group of guys trying to relive their glory days, they are all ready to move forward and bring something totally new to their catalogue. I don't think 50 Cent mentions being shot once!

If this is any indication where G Unit is headed I'm really excited for the direction. It's true hard rap, broken down to its real elements keeping out all the unnecessary trappings that have softened it as of late. Absolutely worth a listen to, just don't expect to hear any of these tracks when your in the VIP at da club.
