White Arrows are a Los Angeles based psychedelic electronic indie group and their most recent album In Bardo is their second release. The record at its best brings you deep into a groove where you almost become transfixed by the music and the emotions. They are doing something really interesting combining driving real bass guitar with electronic elements painting a picture of something beautiful. Like much of psychedelic music the emphasis is more on creating something that evokes a visual and emotional response rather than something catchy you can sing along to, but White Arrows seems to be able to do both with In Bardo.

The vocals however are quite forgettable, they seem more like an afterthought than any real force throughout the album. More than anything there is so much potential that is right on the surface of this record, they are just a few clicks shy of doing something really special. The last track on the album "God Alert Pt.2" is far and away my favorite and the one where I think their potential really shines through. Give In Bardo a listen, you won't regret it.
