Above & Beyond have released their newest trance album "We Are All We Need". While the album is not groundbreaking nor moving the genre forward, it is a 16 track record of really solid EDM and Trance music. The album starts extremely up tempo with the usual EDM trope of build build smash then slows down as the tracks progress. The flow of the record, track to track, is incredible and almost seamless. Each track stands up as an individual unit, but also blends into the next. That is one thing that I have found really refreshing about electronic albums, they seem to make a consolidated effort to make their albums work as one piece of art rather than a collection of individual songs.

This album works extremely well. You can dance to it, you can sing along, or you can just sit back and listen. I think Above & Beyond were going for a paired down exploration of the genre while avoiding the pop EDM trap. "We Are All We Need" is a very well crafted record and more than worth a listen.
