While the single "Centuries" has been out for some time Fall Out Boy finally released their newest offering American Beauty/American Psycho. Its...well...ok i guess. There really is not much going on in this album other than some hard rocking, fastish singing and some quite generic tracks. There are moments of brilliance, the only problem is just that, they are only moments. For a brief second you will catch a string of notes that seemed to be leading to something, but then they pass and its just Fall Out Boy.
The days of Emo have long passed this band by and this album does not stand up purely on nostalgia. Unfortunately this one is a pass for me, if you really want to dig some Fall Out Boy listen to "Take This to Your Grave" and also maybe only be 16 years old, that may help.
